Fancy getting your hands on the bodhrán and learning to play in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere?
Join Robbie Walsh at the Man O’War Pub in Balbriggan for 6 weeks of Bodhrán Buzz Sessions, starting November 5th. These sessions are specially designed for beginners, so whether you’ve never picked up a bodhrán before or you’re just starting out, you’ll be made very welcome.
Each week, Robbie will be joined by a different guest musician, giving you the chance to learn, play along and experience the bodhrán in the context of traditional Irish music. It’s all about having fun, building confidence and discovering the buzz of playing together.
And to finish the six weeks, we’ll have a great traditional music session just before Christmas. Bringing everyone together for a festive evening of music, rhythm and craic!
Bodhrán’s are provided for each evening.
7-8.30pm each Thursday evening.
Starting 5th of November for 6 weeks.

About Robbie
Robbie Walsh is a bodhrán player who hails from Dublin. Brought up with a strong musical background, his style is the definition of diversity and power. Robbie began to learn the ropes from the great Noel Dowling of Kilkenny. Taking these skills to the vibrant, session culture of Dublin, Robbie began to shape his style. Find out more here.
